Ola-Uber drivers' 'No AC' campaign in Telangana, passengers left sweating

Pioneer Indiya, New Delhi No AC campaign In Telangana: It is very difficult to travel in a car without AC in summer because the temperature inside the car can be higher than outside.
Anyway, it is very hot in most parts of India, due to which AC is required in the car. But, when the car is switched on like this, it causes the mileage to drop.

Drop in mileage means increase in the running cost of the car. Now in such a situation, some cab drivers drive the car without turning on the AC so that they can save money.
This causes problems to customers booking cabs. Same thing is happening in Telangana. In Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, Ola and Uber drivers have started 'No AC' campaign, due to which the passengers are facing problems.

The temperature here has been more than 40 degrees Celsius for the last few days. In such a situation, traveling in a cab without AC is becoming a problem for people.
According to Dainik Bhaskar, cab driver Murali Reddy told that the cost of running his cab on AC is Rs 16-18/km. Uber, Ola and Rapid take commission, after which they get only Rs 10/km.

Reddy said that even after working for 16 hours, only Rs 500 to Rs 800 can be saved. The maintenance cost of the car also goes into this.
He has demanded from the companies (Ola, Uber and Rapido etc.) to increase the fare of AC cabs. Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union (TGPWU) had announced the 'No AC' campaign on 8 April.

It wrote on 'X', "“@TGPWU announces 'No AC' campaign. We drivers working with Uber, Ola and Rapido apps are unable to switch on AC in the cab due to fall in per kilometer fares. The cost of running our cab with AC is Rs 16-18 per kilometer
